Lesson 1: Foreword

You’ll complete tasks like modeling, valuations, and contract reviews—showcasing key skills. GrowCFO will store your files temporarily, but keep personal copies for future use.

Lesson 2: Business introduction

Business overview and financial information are foundational sections that outline the company’s operations, strategy, and key financial metrics to support analysis and decision-making.

Lesson 3: Business strategy

This section provides a strategy briefing from your CEO, outlines potential funding options, identifies your top strategic objective, and highlights key information needed to guide your next steps.

Lesson 4: Required funding

You’ll determine the company’s cash requirements, explore asset-based financing options, confirm overall fundraising needs, and complete a valuation model to support your funding strategy.

Lesson 5: Pitch to investors

You’ll create an elevator pitch, prepare a compelling investor pitch document, and respond to a request for additional information to support your funding outreach.

Lesson 6: Scrutinize offers

In this stage, you’ll receive three funding offers, update your financial model accordingly, and prepare an evaluation summary for your Board.

Lesson 7: Select your preferred offer

In this step, review Board feedback, choose the preferred offer, and draft a term sheet reflecting the agreed terms.

Lesson 8: Lead the deal process

Appoint advisors, manage due diligence, review agreements, and assess key negotiation points like valuation and control.

Lesson 9: Conclude the deal

Finalize the deal, update records, and celebrate your success!
