Brandon Leigh is a highly experienced finance leader with deep expertise built over a 21-year career at PZ Cussons Plc (PZC), a FTSE 250 international consumer goods company. Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte, Brandon joined PZC and rose through the ranks to serve as Group Chief Financial Officer for 13 years. His leadership spanned multiple global regions—including Europe, Asia, Africa, and the US—operating across a diverse range of categories such as personal care, beauty, home care, and food and nutrition. As CFO, he held full responsibility for the finance, legal, and IT functions, driving robust financial governance and enabling operational excellence across the group.
Beyond the core finance remit, Brandon played a pivotal role in shaping the broader direction of the business. His responsibilities included leading strategy development, overseeing mergers and acquisitions, and driving organizational design to align the company’s structure with its long-term goals. He had direct line management responsibility for commercial divisions, giving him a front-row seat to the interplay between finance, operations, and growth execution. In addition, Brandon championed the development and implementation of the company’s sustainability policies, ensuring ESG considerations were embedded in PZC’s global strategy well ahead of market expectations.
Since stepping away from his executive role in 2019, Brandon has continued to apply his experience in new ways—serving as a non-executive director and mentor to senior finance professionals under his personal brand, CFO Mentor. His mentoring engagements are grounded in real-world leadership and cover a broad range of topics, including investor relations, financial storytelling, stakeholder management, capital allocation, M&A execution, and strategic influence at board level. Brandon works with finance leaders to help them elevate their impact, build executive presence, and navigate the often complex dynamics of being a senior leader in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
Brandon is also deeply committed to the third sector. He provides financial and commercial guidance to charities and non-profit organizations, bringing private sector discipline to mission-led causes. His service as an ambulance first responder reflects his strong sense of purpose and people-first ethos. Whether in the boardroom or in the community, Brandon is known for being calm under pressure, highly empathetic, and relentlessly focused on delivering positive impact.
At his core, Brandon is passionate about helping others grow. Through mentoring, he shares the practical lessons, hard-won insights, and strategic mindset that helped him succeed at the highest levels of listed company leadership. His ability to combine financial rigor with commercial instinct, and strategic thinking with human leadership, makes him a uniquely valuable mentor for today’s CFOs and finance executives who are looking to step into larger roles and deliver meaningful, measurable results for their organizations.
